The Blue Danube

Danube

Day 1 London – Munich – Passau

VIP Outbound4Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to Munich. On arrival, we transfer by coach to Passau to embark MS Belvedere (4T) this afternoon. The ship sets sail for an overnight cruise towards Linz, as we enjoy a cocktail party and dinner on board.

Day 2 Linz

Linz is the third largest city in Austria, located next to the beautiful Danube River. You have the option to take an excursion to see the loveliest sights of Linz, with a local guide providing an insight on its culture and history. The excursion finishes at the Hauptplatz, right in the city centre and marked by the impressive 20-metre high, white marble Trinity Column, after which there is time to further explore your favourite nooks at leisure before making your own way back to the ship. Another optional excursion to Salzburg is available.

Day 3 Melk – Cruising through the Wachau Valley – Vienna

Melk is dominated by its resplendent Benedictine abbey, which we will visit on an included excursion this morning. Built as a palace, it has all the resplendence of a royal residence, with impressive frescoes, marble sculptures and a library containing countless medieval manuscripts. We sail on to Vienna, passing through the Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape representing one of the most beautiful stretches of river valleys in Europe. We moor overnight in Vienna.

Day 4 Vienna

The beautiful, cultured Austrian city of Vienna offers an exciting array of famous sights, including grand palaces and the magnificent Gothic cathedral. This morning we enjoy an included tour of the highlights of the city, with time this afternoon to continue exploring independently, or you may choose to join an optional excursion to the Baroque Schönbrunn Palace, the magnificent former summer residence of the Habsburg family. This evening we set sail, as we enjoy dinner.

Day 5 (Danube Bend) Budapest

Remain on board the ship as it sails to Budapest, navigating the Danube Bend and arriving mid-morning. The Hungarian capital is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Divided by the Danube with the ancient Buda (‘the hills’) on the right bank, and connected by seven bridges to the more modern Pest (‘the flat lands’) on the left bank. On arrival we enjoy an included city tour of the main sights, including Heroes’ Square, Millennial Monument, the Great Synagogue, St Stephen’s Basilica, St Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion and the stunning Parliament building.

Day 6 Bratislava

Overnight the ship sails towards Bratislava, arriving mid-afternoon. The Slovakian capital is the only national capital which borders two independent countries – Austria and Hungary. Founded over 2,000 years ago, Bratislava was also the capital of Hungary during the late Middle Ages. Whilst here, we enjoy an included sightseeing tour amongst its churches, mansions and palaces to discover its highlights.

Day 7 Sailing on the Danube

Spend today relaxing on board and enjoying the scenery as we sail along the Danube towards Passau. We enjoy the Captain’s farewell party this evening.

Day 8 Passau – Munich – London

VIP InboundAn early morning arrival in Passau. After breakfast we disembark and transfer by coach to Munich Airport for a direct, scheduled British Airways flight to London Heathrow. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.

Enjoy your evening in the cozy Lounge. Take part in our dance-themed evenings from disco to Viennese waltz or get involved in the quizzes programs on various topics. Also very popular are our Crew Shows – you will be surprised what talents are onboard…!

Cabins

Welcome to 16 well-thought-out square metres – welcome to the Belvedere cabins. Functional lightness meets generous transparency here. The cabins on the Danube and Rhine decks invite you to stay for a while with their two floor-length paned French doors leading onto the French balcony.

The Mosel deck boasts gorgeous large-scale windows. The Belvedere suites are equipped with the same facilities as the cabins, but offer more space for comfort on 22 square metres. The diagonally placed beds allow for a direct view through the floor-length glass doors and panorama windows onto the passing landscape. In addition, the suites contain a comfortable seating area as well as generous shelf space and wardrobes. Each cabin has the following facilities:

  • Bathroom with shower/WC
  • Hairdryer and towels
  • Satellite TV and house telephone
  • Individually-regulated air conditioning
  • Safe and minibar

MS Belvedere guests should never do something they don’t want, but at the same time, MS Belvedere guests should do everything what they want. Of course you will find a small library and variety of games.  To be honest: it‘s not so easy to resist.

Enjoy to the full the morning pints with Live-DJ, play chess or shuffleboard or let it just go well in the wellness area. Some of our ships have also a Fitness centre; some trips include also sport activities in the morning.
